Sea sickness is one of the motion sickness happened with some people when they are traveling by the boat. The symptoms are queasy, headache and dizzy which effects to vomit and ruin your marine adventure on the boat or luxury yacht. We have 7 tips to avoid sea sickness and maximize pleasantness of your trip.

Take Small Piece of Ginger.

Small piece of delicious ginger has been well-known to help decreasing sea sickness since ancient Chinese era. Raw, sugarcoat or mixing powder with hot water and then eat or drink are ok.

Take a fresh air

Easiest way to avoid sea sickness’ symptoms are going outside and taking some fresh air. We recommend you to take a highest spot of the boat or deck for taking a deep breath of fresh air.

Look to the horizon

Sea sickness is one of the motion sickness as we mentioned before. It causes by some conflicted signals in the brain when your eyes tell your brain everything is stay still, but your ear balance mechanism tell you the other thing. The horizon will send signals telling your body is moving. That’s why the horizon can beat the sea sickness efficiently.

Take medicine

One of the easiest way to cure sea sickness is taking a drug before you are on board. Most of drugs come as a pill such as antihistamine. If you don’t like to take a bitter pill which is hard to swallow, you can turn to release patches, sold as scopolamine which you can stick it behind your ear.

Get enough sleep

Exhaustion is the main reason of sea sickness. If you would like to avoid it, just take 7-8 hour a day for sleeping. So easy-peasy!

 

Eat something

Going aboard with your empty stomach can make your feel dizzy and queasy. We recommend you to taking some snack 1 hour before you travel by the boat, not too spicy or too sour. Moreover, you should avoid alcohol drinking since it will dehydrate you and feel double dizzier.

Head to the middle of the boat spot

The outside edge of the boat is the swingiest spot. Head to the middle of the boat where is the most steady spot of the area can heal your sea sickness happened from the motion logically.
